Referee Process / REFEREE PROCESS
Articles that have not been previously published in the Journal of Education and Social Sciences Research or that have not been evaluated in another journal for publication are not accepted. Articles approved by the authors who meet these conditions are accepted for evaluation. Articles submitted and passed editorial control will be scanned for similarity with iThenticate software. As a result of the search, the similarity rate in the articles should not exceed 20%. Following the similarity check, the appropriate articles are evaluated by the editor in terms of originality, methodology, importance of the subject covered and compatibility with the journal's scope. The editor evaluates the articles regardless of the authors' ethnicity, gender, nationality, religious belief and political philosophy. Articles submitted for publication are sent to two expert referees in their field for a fair double-blind peer review. Selected articles are sent to at least two national / international referees for evaluation. The publication decision is made by the editor, in line with the requests of the referees, after the authors' edits and the referee process are positive. Judges' evaluations should be objective. During the referee process, the referees are expected to make their evaluations by considering the following issues.
- Does the article contain any new and important information?
-Does Öz clearly and accurately describe the content of the article?
-Is the method fully and clearly defined?
- Are the comments made and the conclusions made evidenced by the findings?
-Have enough references been given to other works in the field?
- Is the language quality sufficient?
Referees should ensure that all information about submitted articles is kept confidential until the article is published, and if they notice any copyright infringement or plagiarism on the part of the author, they should report it to the editor. If the referee does not feel qualified about the subject of the article or thinks that he will not be able to provide a timely response, he should inform the editor of this situation and ask him not to include him in the referee process. During the evaluation process, the editor clearly states that the articles sent to the referees for review are the private property of the authors and that this is a privileged communication. Referees and editorial board members cannot discuss articles with third parties. Care should be taken to keep the identity of the referees anonymous.
